An Apology & a Change

Greetings KNOW YOUR SAINTS! readers.

First of all I would like to wish you a belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, and secondly I would like to apologize for the lack of saints over the past few weeks. The holidays approached with a suddenness I was clearly not prepared for, and I did not have any posts ready to go, since this is still a new blog. I pray it won’t happen again, but I am human, and I can’t make any promises. I will try harder, however, to provide something on the Sundays when I know my writing will be absent.

That being said, I would like to introduce a bit of a change to this blog, namely through the voting aspect. I’ve found that only having barely a week to prepare is not enough time for me to get to know the saint I’m writing about. Eventually this would lead to poorer writing on my part, which would not give you the full personality of the saint. And the goal here is to get to know your saints, after all, so here is the change I’m proposing. The polls I will post at the end of each Sunday’s post will not have next week’s celebrated saints, but rather saints two weeks out. I’ll also put the saint’s feast day behind their name in the post, so you know what day they are celebrated, in case that influences your vote – you’ll see below. In the meantime, this upcoming Sunday I’ll feature a saint of my own choosing – don’t expect too long a post, it already being Wednesday and all.

Hopefully this change will allow me to better prepare the saint for you, and help us all better get to know our saints!

Thanks, and God Bless!
